Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- Over 2 years of experience in desktop support or IT helpdesk roles
- Proficient in Windows 11 and macOS environments
- Familiar with Active Directory, Group Policy, and user account management
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, etc.)
- Strong understanding of PC hardware components and peripherals
- Experienced with IT ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, Zendesk)
- Exceptional troubleshooting, communication, and customer service abilities
- Capable of prioritizing and managing multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
- CompTIA A+ and Microsoft certifications (e.g., MD-102) are a plus
- Familiarity with endpoint management tools like Microsoft Intune, SCCM, or Jamf is desirable
- Knowledge of ITIL practices and service management frameworks is a bonus
- Experience in supporting remote and hybrid work arrangements is advantageous
- Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell, Bash) for automation tasks is desirable

Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and upkeep desktop and laptop computers, printers, and other peripherals
- Offer technical support to end users by troubleshooting hardware and software problems in person, by phone, or through a ticketing system
- Image and deploy new workstations, ensuring that systems are consistently updated with patches and security enhancements
- Oversee and manage software installations, licensing, and version control
- Identify and solve network connectivity problems at the workstation level
- Assist in the onboarding process for new employees, including setting up hardware and provisioning accounts
- Record technical issues, resolutions, and standardized procedures in a knowledge base
- Collaborate with our IT team on infrastructure projects and system upgrades
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of hardware and software assets
- Ensure adherence to company IT policies and security regulations
Description
We are seeking a talented and customer-oriented Desktop Specialist to enhance our IT team. In this position, youll be instrumental in the installation, setup, maintenance, and assistance with desktop computers, laptops, peripherals, and relevant software across our organization. Serving as an essential contact for end-user technical support, you will contribute significantly to ensuring our technology environment operates seamlessly. This is an on-site role, with occasional travel between office locations as necessary. We offer a competitive salary ranging from $60,000 to $70,000 annually.
