Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Solid grasp of cloud technologies including virtualization, containerization, and orchestration.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or equivalents.
- U.S. Citizenship required by contract stipulation.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Capability to obtain and maintain a 6c Public Trust clearance.
- Must not be in default on any Federal Student Loans or federally guaranteed loans (typically 270 days past due).
- Any felonies or misdemeanors in the past 7 years could hinder clearance acquisition.
- Outstanding collections over $7,500 may also affect security clearance eligibility.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
Responsibilities
- Support and manage enterprise cloud environments in Microsoft Azure and AWS, along with providing on-premises technical assistance as required.
- Oversee the deployment, administration, and maintenance of Azure and AWS services, including virtual machines, storage, networking components, identity services, and cloud-native applications.
- Manage hybrid cloud infrastructure and facilitate integrations between on-premises systems and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure AD Connect, VPN/Gateway configurations).
- Monitor cloud resources for performance, cost efficiency, and operational uptime.
- Assist in lifecycle management, including patching and configurations for cloud and virtual systems.
- Implement and uphold cloud security measures that align with federal and organizational policies.
- Conduct follow-ups on vulnerability remediation, including documentation and reporting.
- Identify compliance gaps using DISA STIGs, CIS, and other necessary frameworks.
- Monitor virus activity through the Incident Response Program, documenting security and disaster recovery events as per policy.
- Support updates to incident response and disaster recovery plans.
- Conduct ongoing monitoring and periodic audits for standards like FISMA, HIPAA, PCI DSS, HITRUST, ISO 27001, and others.
- Schedule and disseminate recurring cybersecurity reports.
- Assist in creating automated processes for provisioning, monitoring, configuration management, and security enforcement (using PowerShell, Python, or cloud-native automation tools).
- Support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives with modern tools (preferred ARM/Bicep, Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, telephony, and operations teams to ensure reliable and compliant cloud service delivery.
- Participate in planning sessions for new cloud projects, offering recommendations based on best practices.
- Provide in-office technical support as needed, including troubleshooting for workstations, hardware issues, network assistance, and supporting IT teams or leadership onsite.
- Assist with local incident responses, device configuration, and troubleshooting requiring physical presence.
- Help with equipment deployment, inventory tasks, and hands-on support for hybrid infrastructure components.
