Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in cloud administration, including at least three (3) years managing Azure infrastructure in enterprise settings
- Proven experience configuring, maintaining, and securing Azure resources, including virtual machines, virtual networks, and storage solutions
- Strong proficiency in PowerShell, Azure CLI, Terraform, and ARM templates
- Experience managing Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), conditional access, and role-based access policies
- Familiarity with SQL Server and Azure SQL administration
- Experience with SFTP, data exchange processes, and system integrations between cloud and on-premises environments
- Ability to proactively identify opportunities for optimization, automation, and performance enhancement
- Demonstrated accountability, reliability, and ownership in operations
Responsibilities
- Manage and configure Azure virtual networks (VNets), subnets, and security groups in collaboration with network administrators to maintain performance and connectivity
- Oversee Azure compute resources, including virtual machines, scale sets, and availability zones, ensuring reliability and cost-effectiveness
- Implement and administer Azure storage solutions including Blob, File, and Disk storage for availability, redundancy, and secure access
- Handle Azure SQL and on-premises SQL integrations, supporting database provisioning, performance tuning, and backup/recovery operations
- Manage Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), user identities and access permissions to uphold organizational security protocols
- Implement Azure Security Center and Defender for Cloud to monitor compliance, vulnerabilities, and security threats
- Configure role-based access control (RBAC), conditional access, and multi-factor authentication (MFA) for secure operations
- Automate provisioning and management tasks using PowerShell and Azure CLI, enhancing consistency and reducing manual workload
- Support infrastructure-as-code (IaC) initiatives using ARM templates and Terraform for efficient deployment
- Monitor system performance through Azure Monitor and Log Analytics, ensuring proactive problem detection and resolution
- Continuously assess and optimize cloud expenses through right-sizing and automation strategies
- Collaborate with the System Architect to align Azure infrastructure designs with architectural standards and objectives
- Partner with application, data, and security teams to maintain stable and secure deployment environments across various phases
- Communicate with vendors and external partners managing data exchanges and integrations for secure interoperability
- Provide Tier-2/3 support for Azure-related incidents and ensure timely resolutions and documentation of root causes
- Participate in the planning and implementation of new Azure services and infrastructure improvements to align with organizational goals
- Undertake other tasks as assigned
Description
We are seeking an Azure Administrator to manage and optimize our cloud infrastructure within the Microsoft Azure environment. This role is critical to ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of Azure services that support our enterprise applications and data platforms. We offer a collaborative environment where you will work closely with various teams to configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Azure resources, all while leveraging your technical expertise in automation, compute, storage, networking, and identity management. Our office operates from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, providing a supportive atmosphere that emphasizes growth and development.
