Requirements
Must:
- Extensive background in enterprise data strategy, data platforms, or data management consulting
- Strong understanding of data ecosystems, analytics platforms, and AI/ML technologies
- Experience in designing or supporting enterprise data services or federated data architectures
- Proficiency in developing data strategies, roadmaps, and service frameworks
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities
- Proven experience facilitating strategic workshops and discussions at the executive level
- Capacity to convert intricate data and AI concepts into business-centric strategies and solutions
- Experience in large enterprise or complex organizational environments
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of enterprise data platform and AI service offerings
- Offer expert insights in data management, analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning
- Develop and refine data strategies, roadmaps, frameworks, and service models
- Assist in constructing a federated data ecosystem to promote data sharing and innovation
- Create high-level presentations, visual assets, and strategic documentation
- Present options, models, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders
- Facilitate discussions across teams and departments to ensure alignment on data initiatives
- Engage in strategic planning for data services and AI capabilities
- Assist in the design and delivery of:
- Data platform services
- Generative and agentic AI services
- Data management and governance
- Data orchestration and analytics services
- DevSecOps-enabled data environments
- Develop metrics, KPIs, and outcome measures for success tracking
- Provide guidance to product and platform teams through all project phases from discover to implementation and continuous enhancement
- Deliver presentations, demonstrations, and strategic insights to senior stakeholders
Description
We are on the lookout for a seasoned Senior Data & AI Strategy Consultant to play a pivotal role in the design and development of enterprise data and AI services within our expansive data ecosystem. This position is integral to fostering modern data capabilities such as analytics, AI, ML, data orchestration, and enterprise data platforms. We collaborate closely with leadership and various teams to craft strategies, service frameworks, and roadmaps that enhance data access, management, and utilization across our organization. This contract role for 9 months is primarily remote within Canada, with occasional on-site meetings in Edmonton.
