Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree or equivalent in Geographic Information System, Interaction Design, Visual Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Cognitive or Behavioral Psychology, or a related field.
- Seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in relevant roles such as Junior UI Designer, Senior Interactive Designer, Senior UX Designer, UI/UX Designer, Senior Product Designer, or similar.
- Expertise in visual and interaction design principles.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with globally-distributed teams.
- Experience creating responsive web interfaces and case studies for B2B SaaS products.
- Proficiency in working within agile environments and iterative cycles.
- Familiarity with at least two of the following UI design tools: Figma, Sketch, Adobe Photoshop, or Adobe Illustrator.
- Knowledge of at least two rapid prototyping tools such as Figma, Protopie, Axure, or Invision.
- Experience with at least one whiteboarding tool like Figjam, Miro, or Whimsical.
- Proficiency in cross-functional collaboration tools such as Jira, Figma Dev, Trello, Zeplin, or Google Docs.
- Solid understanding of front-end web development skills, including HTML, CSS, Chrome DevTools, and JavaScript.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience with design system documentation tools, such as Zeroheight or Supernova.
Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and enhance a Figma-driven design system, including components, variants, and auto-layout configurations.
- Create design tokens covering colors, spacing, and typography.
- Ensure visual and interaction consistency across the entire Celigo product suite.
- Establish and uphold a governance model for contributions, version control, and release cycles.
- Maintain change logs and communicate updates to internal teams promptly.
- Evaluate and improve existing components to align with best practices and eliminate redundancy.
- Draft and maintain guidelines for system usage and accessibility specifications (e.g., WCAG compliance).
- Create and publish tutorials or examples for internal designers and developers.
- Lead design system onboarding sessions, workshops, and office hours.
- Collaborate closely with front-end engineers to align Figma components with code (e.g., React, Web Components) and ensure design fidelity.
- Support product teams with UX insights and reusable design patterns.
- Promote the design systems adoption across multiple pods or squads.
- Provide hands-on UX/UI design for complex platform flows to ensure systemic consistency.
- Define and contribute to the overall platform user experience from discovery to delivery.
- Conduct user research and apply insights to inform user journeys, workflows, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes.
- Advocate for a user-centered and data-driven design approach founded on established UX principles.
