Toolmaker with CNC expertise

- Plan, layout, and execute machining tasks using manual mills, lathes, surface grinders, and CNC mills. - Execute intricate machining and grinding operations that may require innovative setups and adaptations of machines and tools. - Carry out precise bench operations involving polishing, fitting, and aligning components for fixtures, molds, and machines. - Create SolidWorks models and programs as required for the plate fabrication department. - Assist in the setup of molds and support production by maintaining and repairing plastic injection molds. - Design and maintain tools for production, providing instructions to Department Leads, Supervisors, or Machine Operators on their care and operation. - Approach work assignments with minimal supervision and direction. - Ensure quality in workmanship, maintaining dimensional accuracy and operational efficiency of projects. - Keep work area, facilities, and materials organized and clean, exercising care in their usage. - Adhere to safety practices and proactively address any arising issues. - Support co-workers to achieve team objectives as needed. - Pursue continuous improvement opportunities actively. - Train other employees and help onboard new staff as necessary. - Carry out additional duties as required, which may involve working in various manufacturing areas depending on workload demands.
