Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree or a relevant combination of education and experience
- 1 to 3 years of experience in engineering or a related field
- Familiarity with project management principles and practices
- Demonstrated leadership abilities aligned with Celesticas Leadership Imperatives
- Strong understanding of budgeting and accounting as they pertain to engineering
- Skills in coaching, mentoring, communication, negotiation, and presentation
- Ability in creative problem-solving and stakeholder management
- Knowledge of quality control and Lean methodologies
- Proficient in D/PFMEA, 8D/Corrective Action, and Equipment Safety
- Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE)
- Understanding of manufacturing processes including DFM, DFA, and DFT
Responsibilities
- Define, specify, qualify, install, and support test processes and equipment solutions for manufacturing under minimal supervision
- Lead efforts to optimize test processes, focusing on enhancing productivity, cycle time, and yield
- Troubleshoot test processes and equipment solutions employing experimental design, tools, and failure analysis techniques
- Collaborate with Quality, Process, and Equipment engineers to identify and address product yield and performance issues
- Create strategies for improving test coverage, diagnostics, reparability, test duration, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)
- Analyze yield reports and equipment logs to pinpoint causes of yield loss
- Assist process engineers in improving detection of known defect types as part of the Process Control plan
- Support the integration of test equipment with Manufacturing Execution Systems including yield data and product parameters
