Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field of study.
- Over 10 years of experience in hardware and/or software testing, with a minimum of 5 years dedicated to enterprise-level storage and server systems.
- More than 5 years in a leading or senior technical role, with experience mentoring junior engineers or directing test initiatives.
- In-depth knowledge and practical experience with Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocols in extensive data center settings (e.g., BGP, OSPF, ISIS, MPLS).
- Significant experience with contemporary data center interconnect technologies (EVPN/VxLAN).
- Extensive background in hardware and/or software testing, emphasizing enterprise-level storage and server platforms.
- Profound expertise in diverse storage technologies, including NVMe, SAS/SATA SSDs/HDDs, RAID, and distributed file systems (e.g., Ceph, Lustre), SAN, and NAS.
- Strong grasp of server architectures (x86, ARM, GPU servers), CPU/memory subsystems, PCIe, power management, and Baseband Management Controllers (BMC) functionality.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation and data analysis.
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL) and command-line tools.
- Understanding of networking concepts (Ethernet, TCP/IP, InfiniBand) and testing methodologies.
- Acquainted with testing strategies including performance testing, reliability testing, stress testing, and fault injection.
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and debugging abilities.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with diverse groups.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement testing strategies for all storage and server components, encompassing hardware, firmware, and software.
- Lead the formulation and execution of comprehensive test strategies, plans, and cases for complex data center network solutions, including Layer 2/3, SDN, and DCN.
- Design, execute, and evaluate intricate test cases for functional, performance, reliability, stress, and endurance assessments.
- Build and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts utilizing languages like Python or Go to enhance testing efficiency and scope.
- Conduct detailed performance analyses and identify bottlenecks for storage systems (NVMe, SSD/HDD arrays, distributed storage, SAN/NAS) and server platforms (CPU, GPU, memory, PCIe, networking, and OpenBMC).
- Work closely with hardware design, software development, and AI/ML engineering teams to grasp requirements and integrate testing throughout the product development cycle.
- Create and uphold testbeds and infrastructure for continuous integration and validation processes.
- Report on testing progress, outcomes, and critical issues to stakeholders.
- Develop tailored testing methodologies to validate performance and reliability under heavy AI/ML workloads, such as extensive model training and inference.
- Analyze and evaluate the interactions between GPU-accelerated computing, high-speed networking, and storage systems.
