Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in software development
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, and GoLang
- Demonstrated experience in Network Operating System (NOS) development and maintenance
- Expertise in platform bring-up including Linux device drivers and system reliability
- Proven project management skills with the ability to lead extensive engineering projects
- Strong leadership capabilities, with an emphasis on team behavior and collaboration
- Financial literacy with experience in creating and managing project budgets and profitability analyses
- Familiarity with coaching, mentoring, negotiation, and creative problem-solving
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and manage customer interactions
- Commitment to quality standards and continuous improvement practices
Responsibilities
- Spearhead the design, development, and implementation of sophisticated technical solutions across multiple domains
- Act as a global subject matter expert, providing technical guidance to an international team
- Oversee non-technical aspects of engineering projects, including personnel and financial management
- Review customer specifications and serve as a primary point of contact for client interactions
- Evaluate trade-offs in complex systems and recommend optimal solutions
- Lead the launch of strategic, intricate programs and coordinate site-wide deployment initiatives
- Manage key relationships with vendors and partners
- Design, analyze, and develop testing protocols and automation frameworks
- Create processing platforms utilizing various configuration management technologies
- Utilize test software development methodologies, potentially in an Agile environment
- Provide maintenance, support, and enhancements for existing systems and platforms
- Collaborate with various teams, including customers and project managers, to achieve seamless solutions
- Offer insights and suggestions for ongoing improvements
- Work collaboratively with fellow engineers to elevate technical standards and implement best practices
- Stay informed about pertinent industry trends and regulations
