Requirements
Must:
- 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience as a Data Analyst or Business Intelligence Analyst in a high-volume manufacturing or electronics environment.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL for data extraction and integration from complex operational databases.
- Proven experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker to present manufacturing KPIs.
- Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution System (MES), ERP, or Quality Management System (QMS) data structures is preferred.
- Strong foundation in statistics and statistical process control (SPC).
- Ability to perform diagnostic and predictive analytics related to production processes and equipment performance.
- Bachelors degree in a quantitative discipline like Industrial Engineering, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Detail-oriented problem-solver passionate about continuous process enhancement, with the ability to effectively communicate technical insights to production managers and engineers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain analytical models to track First Pass Yield (FPY), defect rates, and process capability metrics.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) using diagnostic analytics to identify process or component failures in complex assemblies.
- Design and create real-time dashboards (e.g., OEE, Downtime) to monitor the performance of critical production equipment and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
- Analyze manufacturing cycle times and resource utilization data to identify and eliminate bottlenecks and waste.
- Evaluate post-launch data, including field failures, warranty claims, and repair/return data, to provide essential feedback to the New Product Introduction (NPI) and Design teams.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to monitor the performance of key components and anticipate potential failure points.
- Write efficient SQL queries to extract and integrate data from various manufacturing systems (MES, ERP, QMS).
- Generate both standardized and ad-hoc reports to support executive decision-making on cost reduction, quality improvement, and capacity planning.
