Requirements
Must:
- 7 to 10 years of relevant experience
- Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficiency in power design for single/multi-phase DC/DC converters, point-of-load converters, and related circuits
- Experience in designing power systems for networking, computing, or storage products
- Familiarity with high-current, low-voltage power subsystems for CPU, GPU, ASIC, SoC, and FPGA
- Understanding of PCB stack-up and simulation tools for voltage gradients
- Competence in schematic capture and CAD layout software
- Proficiency with circuit simulation tools like SIMPLIS, PSPICE, and LTSPICE
- Knowledge of high-density power modules and Integrated Voltage Regulators (IVR) is a plus
- Experience in power integrity tools and evaluation at the board level
- Familiarity with power management interface design and troubleshooting (PMBus, AVS, SVID)
- Understanding of specifications and validation for power connectors and cable assemblies
- Experience with the New Product Introduction (NPI) hardware design cycle
- Competence in test automation development for power validation is a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with effective presentation skills
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Sr. Staff and Principal engineers for guidance and support
- Design, develop, and implement technical solutions for complex projects, contributing to project planning and scheduling
- Innovate proposals for enhancing performance, reliability, and features of systems or products
- Provide technical leadership and direction to a global team of engineers
- Interpret and review customer specifications, potentially acting as the main contact for customers
- Analyze trade-offs in complex systems and recommend effective solutions
- Lead and manage schematic design, bills of materials, power trees, drawings, board layout, and cross-functional design reviews
- Oversee power bring-up, debugging, and provide support for manufacturing assembly and deployment
- Maintain relationships with key vendors and partners
- Stay updated on relevant industry knowledge and regulations, sharing insights with the team
- Liaise with suppliers, customers, contractors, and other internal teams
- Analyze and compile reports on specifications, design, testing, debugging, etc.
- Serve as a recognized expert in one or more technical areas
