Operations Support Lead

- Lead and manage a team of internal buyers and administrative personnel to meet critical engineering timelines - Establish and enforce standardized procurement processes to maintain data integrity and audit readiness for all transactions - Resolve complex procurement challenges, enhancing communication among buyers, vendors, and the engineering lab - Oversee tracking of capital investments in lab assets, including specialized machinery and testing infrastructure - Collaborate with engineering leads to ensure procurement adheres to internal workflows and budget allocations - Monitor internal operational spend in real-time, focusing on materials, vendor costs, and software licenses - Conduct monthly budget reviews to identify discrepancies, addressing risks with engineering management - Manage departmental overhead costs, including facilities expenses, software subscriptions, and lab supplies - Guide the administrative team in financial software and reporting tools for improved tracking accuracy - Maintain and update the HPS Operations Dashboard, translating spending data into clear insights for the technical team - Serve as the primary contact for navigating procurement and business management systems to ensure lab efficiency
