Requirements
Must:
- Zero to two years of relevant experience.
- Two or three year community college diploma in a related field, or a comparable mix of education and experience.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical design methods, procedures, and processes.
- Familiarity with MCAD systems.
- Understanding of SMT placement equipment, specifications, and operation.
- Basic knowledge of computer programming.
- Awareness of tooling design and vendor fabrication of mechanical assemblies.
- Strong mathematical abilities.
- Proficiency in manipulating textual data and using email with HP-UX tools.
- Capability to compile data, compute quantities, and prepare cost estimates.
- Knowledge of quality standards.
- Effective communication skills with internal customers.
- Understanding of electrical, electromechanical, and pneumatic systems.
- Familiarity with production operations and operator responsibilities.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment and systems and perform necessary repairs.
- Knowledge of digital electronics and repair methodologies.
- Familiarity with personal computers and Windows applications.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret schematic diagrams and circuit descriptions.
- Troubleshoot and repair defective products, ensuring they meet physical and visual quality standards.
- Identify and replace faulty components as needed.
- Set up, operate, and adjust test sets and ancillary equipment.
- Conduct tests and validate test sets.
- Diagnose and fix issues with test equipment or fixtures.
- Perform reactive maintenance on electromechanical surface mount assembly equipment.
- Provide support for setting up basic product technical data for printed circuit boards and related products.
- Maintain accurate records regarding technical product data availability and integrity.
- Schedule and execute preventative maintenance tasks.
- Keep records on equipment availability and failure analysis.
- Maintain an inventory and database of spare parts for equipment.
- Assist in the movement, installation, setup, and refurbishment of equipment.
