Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three to six years of relevant experience.
- In-depth knowledge of the design process for systems, printed circuit boards, and related products.
- Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment for these products.
- Familiarity with industry standards, quality standards, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodologies.
- Proficient in analyzing materials and components used in product construction.
- Expertise in material science, robotics, and machine programming.
- Experience in product pricing, contracts, and negotiations.
- Exceptional skills in customer interaction, negotiation, and problem-solving.
- Strong presentation abilities and computer skills, including database management.
- Solid understanding of statistical process control methods and techniques.
- Capable of designing tests, evaluating results, and suggesting solutions to enhance SMT manufacturing processes.
- Aptitude for evaluating, diagnosing, and troubleshooting issues.
- Strong knowledge of IT systems, database design, and relevant programming languages.
- Familiarity with UNIX, NT, and database management systems.
- Skilled in assessing materials, analyzing data, and identifying root causes.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and handle shifting deadlines effectively.
- Strong communication skills to interact with diverse internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
- Provide essential engineering support and coordination for prototype builds, ensuring timely and budget-compliant assembly completion.
- Offer feedback to relevant engineering and support teams to facilitate a smooth transition from prototype to production.
- Review and interpret customer specifications to propose viable solutions.
- Design product architectures, develop schedules, and assess technical risks and resources needed to meet specifications.
- Render mechanical tool design assistance across various business units.
- Design, plan, and implement new manufacturing and testing processes to support capacity expansion initiatives.
- Develop and deploy continuous flow concepts and/or Theory of Constraints methods to enhance product cycle times.
- Act as the primary program/project liaison for new product launches/introduction.
- Translate customer requirements into actionable factory tasks and provide time estimates for pricing models, documenting associated factory activities and preliminarily scheduling customer quotes.
