Requirements

Must:
- A minimum of 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in power validation, particularly for semiconductor or high-tech systems. - Familiarity with both structural and functional testing for high-density power modules. - Strong attention to detail with a data-driven approach to problem-solving and debugging. - Proficiency in Python for automating tests and a solid understanding of the Linux operating system. - Demonstrated skill in using oscilloscopes, LabView, and basic soldering techniques for hardware troubleshooting. - A Bachelors degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. Educational requirements may differ based on location.

Responsibilities

- Take the lead on testing and validating power electronics throughout the EVT/DVT phases, including generating and validating the overall test plan. - Utilize oscilloscopes and high-precision equipment to assess subtle signals and nanovolt-level noise in high-power situations (up to several kilowatts). - Design and create integrated test solutions involving both hardware and software, including overall architecture, system integration, qualification, and setup. - Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python and Linux to remotely set up test equipment, microcontrollers, and CPUs. - Foster a culture of meticulous data organization and indexing for historical test results, which aids in quick debugging. - Ensure measurement integrity by diagnosing whether issues arise from design defects, parasitic interference, grounding issues, or soldering quality. - Create technical proposals and bill of materials (BOMs), along with time estimates based on client needs and design requirements. - Align efforts in internal meetings with Program Managers (EPMs) and serve as the primary technical liaison for power vendors. - Provide technical direction and manage smaller projects, including overseeing and reviewing the work of fellow engineers. - Interpret customer documentation and conduct independent research and experiments as needed. - Fulfill all validation and qualification requirements using standard statistical and industry methods. - Enhance and stabilize test solutions for manufacturing, optimizing for cycle time and yield, while collaborating with process teams. - Offer feedback to product design teams regarding design for testability (DFT), coverage, diagnosability, reparability, and firmware/diagnostics. - Stay informed on relevant industry knowledge, trends, and regulations.
