Requirements

Must:
- Advanced proficiency in Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) and Windows Server environments, especially in headless or command-line driven setups. - Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, PXE booting, and network segmentation protocols critical for hardware validation and deployment. - In-depth knowledge of server components, PCIe interfaces, storage protocols (NVMe/SAS), and out-of-band management technologies (IPMI/iDRAC/ILO). - Familiarity with hardware design software (EDA/CAD), version control systems (Git/Perforce), and automated build environments. - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or comparable hands-on experience in an R&D IT setting.

Responsibilities

- Act as a technical liaison between high-performance engineering teams and corporate Site IT departments to align infrastructure needs with IT standards. - Translate complex hardware engineering requirements into technical specifications for Site IT, ensuring necessary computing, storage, and networking resources are in place. - Manage the deployment and upkeep of specialized engineering lab environments, integrating server racks, power distribution units (PDUs), and environmental monitoring systems. - Collaborate with Site IT to architect and control isolated network segments, VLANs, and firewall exceptions for prototype hardware testing without affecting production environments. - Oversee the lifecycle of high-performance engineering workstations and servers, including custom OS imaging and firmware updates. - Create and maintain scripts (Bash, Python, or PowerShell) to automate the configuration of engineering environments and deployment of specialized software toolchains. - Ensure compliance with corporate intellectual property policies and data security standards in engineering workflows and prototype hardware.
