Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in web development, computer science, or software engineering.
- Security+ (CompTIA) certification.
- 5-8 years of experience in web development, capable of performing all functional duties independently and mentoring junior staff.
- Active Secret Security Clearance is required.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective professional communication.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- High-level organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Capability to analyze and improve systems and procedures.
- Strong multitasking abilities and experience managing multiple design streams.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proficiency in handling sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and responsive web applications and websites following federal and agency guidelines.
- Update and enhance existing web properties to maximize performance and security.
- Adhere to secure coding standards and cybersecurity practices, including identifying and addressing vulnerabilities.
- Ensure compliance with Section 508 and other accessibility standards through ongoing assessment and testing.
- Integrate web applications with enterprise systems such as databases and APIs for seamless functionality.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues, addressing user feedback promptly.
- Create and sustain thorough documentation for application design, architecture, deployment procedures, and user instructions.
- Collaborate effectively with project managers, UI/UX designers, and security engineers to deliver solutions aligned with agency objectives.
- Stay updated on evolving web technologies and regulatory changes, recommending enhancements accordingly.
- Assist throughout all phases of web application testing, including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing.
- Provide technical insights to project teams and clients regarding web development best practices and security compliance.
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned.
