Requirements
Must:
- Eight years of experience in SQL database administration, managing production databases.
- Five years of experience with installation, configuration, and support of Microsoft SQL Server in High Availability Group setups.
- Proficient in T-SQL with at least five years of experience in scripting, stored procedures, triggers, and views for automation.
- Three years of experience in a leadership role, managing team tasks and priorities.
- Three years of experience mentoring junior staff on best practices.
- Three years of experience in planning and implementing security protocols to protect information according to industry standards.
- Active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance, with capability to acquire additional clearances as needed.
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or SQL Server 2016 Certification; DoD 8140.03 IAT Level II certification.
- Must successfully pass a background check, with potential for additional checks as required.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain high-availability SQL Server databases.
- Oversee installation, configuration, upgrades, and patches of SQL databases.
- Monitor and fine-tune database performance for optimal efficiency.
- Develop and execute backup and recovery strategies.
- Enforce security measures, ensuring compliance and appropriate access controls.
- Diagnose and resolve database-related issues as they arise.
- Assist in data migration, replication, and integration processes.
- Automate maintenance activities through scripting.
- Document essential database configurations and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with development and operations teams.
- Provide mentorship to junior database administrators.
- Participate in security audits and compliance assessments.
- Perform additional duties as required.
