Requirements

Must:
- Minimum of 8 years in IT systems, cybersecurity, or observability engineering; 3+ years managing CRIBL Stream/Edge environments. - Strong understanding of log formats such as syslog, JSON, CEF, LEEF, and Windows Event. - Familiarity with CI/CD processes, Git, REST APIs, and scripting in JSON/YAML. - Knowledgeable in Zero Trust telemetry and cross-domain logging architectures. - Understanding of NIST guidelines, FISMA, OMB A-130, and CISA cybersecurity directives. - Proven skills in log normalization, enrichment, and cross-domain telemetry management. - Experience with hybrid integration of tools like Splunk, Sentinel, Elastic, Datadog, and AWS CloudWatch. - Proficient with Terraform, Ansible, Git, Python, Bash, and REST APIs. - Top Secret Clearance required. - Must pass a background check, which may be updated as needed during employment. - Exceptional interpersonal skills for clear and professional communication. - Strong verbal and written communication abilities. - Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail. - Proven ability to prioritize and multitask in a dynamic environment; adaptable and quick to learn. - Self-motivated with the capability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team. - Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information appropriately. - Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).

Responsibilities

- Architect, deploy, and maintain CRIBL Stream, Edge, and other CRIBL products in both on-premises and cloud environments. - Implement data routing, filtering, and enrichment processes across various log sources and destinations. - Enhance data ingestion performance and retention while reducing costs associated with licenses and storage. - Create and sustain reusable pipelines and libraries for security and performance analytics. - Integrate CRIBL with enterprise tools such as SIEM, APM, and analytics platforms. - Configure data ingestion and routing for valuable telemetry sources like network, endpoint, cloud, and identity. - Develop observability solutions that allow for continuous monitoring and real-time metric collection. - Design data normalization and transformation logic to cater to analytical and compliance requirements. - Enforce least-privilege access to observability data in accordance with applicable regulations. - Implement logging and monitoring frameworks aligned with NIST standards and CISA guidance. - Maintain audit readiness by managing system configurations, access logs, and change management documentation. - Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure telemetry supports threat detection and incident response. - Optimize data volumes through reduction, deduplication, and compression tuning. - Provide insights for Technology Business Management (TBM) reporting by discovering cost avoidance opportunities. - Create performance dashboards to monitor system health and key metrics for enterprise decision-making. - Automate deployment and updates of pipelines utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools. - Develop scripts for automated validation, log parsing, and troubleshooting errors. - Ensure configurations are version-controlled to facilitate code reuse and continuous integration practices. - Maintain a 99.9% operational uptime for the CRIBL infrastructure. - Deliver monthly reports demonstrating cost reductions and effective data models in IT Services. - Ensure that all configurations and code are properly version-managed and auditable. - Provide dashboards for real-time visibility into data pipeline health and compliance metrics. - Adhere to all federal cybersecurity and audit requirements within specified timelines. - Perform additional duties as assigned.
