Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a STEM field or an Associates degree with relevant experience
- IAT/M Level III certification
- Minimum of 2 years of risk management framework experience within the last 5 years
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance is necessary
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for clear and professional communication
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
- Capacity to evaluate systems and procedures
- Proficient multitasking skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information responsibly
Responsibilities
- Execute duties of Information Systems Security Engineer in accordance with labor category and required RMF experience
- Facilitate security architecture and engineering tasks aligned with DCWF roles
- Assist with security control assessments and coordination activities
- Maintain required certification level (IAT/M Level II or III)
- Stay informed about emerging technologies, vulnerabilities, and hacking techniques; provide updates to leadership
- Train team members on information security standards, policies, and best practices
- Possess a professional understanding of system engineering and cybersecurity methodologies
- Create and maintain Security Assessment and Authorization packages
- Provide documentation for RMF packages, including security plans and assessment reports
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and best practices across all systems
- Assist in technical management and project planning processes
- Ensure the implementation of appropriate technical security controls
- Ensure comprehensive logging of events related to security incidents
- Conduct system audits, vulnerability scans, and threat assessments
- Manage incident response and investigations of security breaches
- Perform other assigned tasks as necessary
