Information Systems Security Engineer

- Execute duties of Information Systems Security Engineer in line with labor category requirements and necessary RMF experience - Assist in security architecture and security engineering tasks aligned with DCWF work roles - Support security control assessments and ISSM coordination roles - Maintain IAT/M certification level (II or III) relevant to assigned responsibilities - Stay informed on new technologies, vulnerabilities, and hacker tactics, providing updates to leadership - Train team members on security standards, policies, and best practices including national standards - Possess professional level understanding of system engineering and cybersecurity concepts - Create and manage Security Assessment and Authorization packages and assist in developing security procedures - Provide materials for RMF packages, including Security Plans and Security Assessment Reports - Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards for various IT systems including firewalls and servers - Consult on technical management aspects such as Business Analysis, System Requirements, and Disaster Recovery - Support technical processes such as Project Planning, Configuration Management, and Risk Management - Implement security controls such as STIGs, AAA, and Security Patches effectively - Ensure proper logging of events for live monitoring via SIEM systems - Conduct system audits, vulnerability scans, and threat assessments for all networks - Perform incident response and investigations related to information security breaches - Undertake additional tasks as required
