Must:
- 8 years of experience managing Databricks workspaces in a cloud environment, specifically AWS.
- 8 years of comprehensive understanding of Databricks cluster configurations, job scheduling, and workspace management.
- 8 years of experience overseeing user access, roles, and permissions using IAM, SCIM, and role-based access control (RBAC).
- 8 years of expertise with Apache Spark concepts, including performance tuning and troubleshooting.
- 8 years of experience linking Databricks with cloud storage services (such as S3).
- 8 years of experience in implementing and enforcing cluster policies and workspace governance standards.
- 8 years of familiarity with Databricks SQL, notebooks, and job orchestration.
- 8 years of experience monitoring platform health, performance, and availability.
- 8 years of understanding data security, encryption, and compliance requirements.
- 8 years of experience utilizing DevOps or automation tools like Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and scripting.
- Must pass a background check, which may include additional checks as required by project specifics.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills enabling clear, professional, and articulate communication.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities, with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze and enhance systems and procedures.

Responsibilities
- Oversee the administration, configuration, and support of the Databricks platform to facilitate scalable data engineering, analytics, and AI/ML workloads.
- Ensure platform reliability, security, cost efficiency, and compliance with relevant standards and organizational policies.
- Offer technical support and troubleshooting assistance to data engineers, analysts, and data scientists across various departments.
- Manage workspace configurations, cluster policies, and user access controls to ensure a secure and efficient Databricks environment.
- Integrate Databricks with cloud services and related enterprise platforms to facilitate smooth data and analytical workflows.
- Actively monitor platform performance, usage, and system health, implementing improvements as necessary.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to comprehend business goals, operational challenges, and user requirements related to data analytics and platform use.
- Assess and explore alternative solutions, conducting studies and cost/benefit analyses to find the optimal approach for organizational needs.
- Analyze user requirements, procedures, and issues to streamline processes or enhance existing systems.
- Interact with individuals from various organizational units to evaluate current procedures, pinpoint system deficiencies, and collect input/output requirements like data input forms and reporting formats.
- Document comprehensive user requirements, program functions, and necessary steps for the development or modification of computer programs supporting the Databricks platform.
- Review computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limits to evaluate the feasibility of proposed program changes within existing system constraints.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
