Requirements
Must:
- Active Secret Clearance required upon starting
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, or a related technical field
- 3 to 10 years of experience in software development, configuration management, or software release support roles
- Experience with software development environments, software releases, and related documentation
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate records in process-driven settings
- Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux environments (development or lab support)
- In-depth technical knowledge of software engineering processes
- Capability to work independently while collaborating with diverse technical teams
- Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, Git, and/or SharePoint is a plus
- Knowledge of structured Government program environments requiring strict documentation discipline
- Understanding of DoD systems and software engineering methodologies
- Experience with configuration audits, release readiness reviews, or technical review cycles
Responsibilities
- Support and implement Software Configuration Management (SCM) activities throughout the software development lifecycle
- Oversee release processes and ensure accurate configuration control for:
- Software builds and deployments
- Development environments
- Testing environments
- Software/Hardware lab environments
- Engineering change proposals
- Maintain configuration baselines and coordinate release readiness for software products
- Track and manage necessary documentation for software testing, production releases, and lab configurations
- Ensure compliance and auditability through version control and change tracking practices
- Support configuration management in Agile software development and DevSecOps environments
- Assist development and engineering teams in maintaining process discipline and documentation completeness
- Engage in program technical meetings and necessary reviews
- Provide configuration status reports and documentation updates to meet Government needs
