Requirements
Must:
- A BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM field is preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Must possess a Secret level clearance or be eligible to obtain one.
- Required to have at least 3 years of experience in cybersecurity or information assurance supporting DoD or federal systems.
- Security+ CE certification is necessary or the ability to obtain it within 3-6 months.
- Must achieve CWF status.
- Experience supporting DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities.
- Knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 security controls and DoD cybersecurity policies.
- Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools such as ACAS/Nessus and STIG implementation.
- Experience in DevSecOps environments.
- Understanding of continuous monitoring and cybersecurity readiness reporting.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong collaboration skills for effective teamwork in a multi-disciplinary setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide support for the execution of the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) process for Navy information systems.
- Assist with the creation and maintenance of RMF documentation.
- Help with system categorization, control selection, and validation of implementations as per NIST SP 800-53 standards.
- Collaborate with Authorizing Officials, ISSMs, ISSOs, and system owners to facilitate ATO package preparation.
- Monitor cybersecurity vulnerabilities and aid in remediation planning.
- Manage vulnerabilities and corrective actions through the POA&M process.
- Enforce adherence to DoD and Navy cybersecurity policies.
- Develop and revise software requirements, design documents, and testing procedures.
- Work closely alongside system administrators, developers, and network engineers to deploy cybersecurity controls.
- Maintain necessary certifications for the role.
