Azure Principal Engineer, Infrastructure

Experience with Azure Storage, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Virtual Desktop, Azure SQL and Azure Networking technologies. Communicate effectively with infrastructure architects and engineers, developers, project managers, security engineers, and senior management. Monitor and report on project activities and report to the team and management regarding project status, task, and issues/risks. Experience with security baselines, security incidents, and continual security improvements. Assist in proactively identifying process improvement opportunities by challenging conventional practices and adopting new methods to increase future state agility, flexibility, and security. Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert required 7+ years designing, implementing, and supporting Azure 7+ years systems administration experience managing enterprise Windows. 7+ years in a 24 by7 production operations role supporting critical, highly available environments Strong understanding of Networking concepts and troubleshooting techniques Understanding of authentication and single sign-on mechanisms Experience patching systems and applications according to standard patch schedules, applying baselines controls Experience with relational databases such as Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server Good understanding of web traffic load balancing and edge protections Experience configuring system and application monitors tools Knowledge of DevOps tools like Terraform, Docker, Git, ARM Knowledge and understanding of PowerShell and scripting languages Experience in implementing cloud-based Single Sign-On solutions Experience with Agile Methodology Experience automating cloud infrastructure and services Experience supporting and patching applications Ability to evaluate and prioritize projects from both a financial and operational perspective Strong understanding of corporate strategies and goals as relates to technology initiatives and the ability to align the two. Proven ability to interact with all levels within the organization as well as with vendors.
