Requirements
Must:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days from the American Heart Association
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- Previous experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) within the last 24 months
- Completion of Carles HCT In Training Program
- Relevant military medical training
- Completion of CNA coursework within the last 24 months
- At least one semester of nursing clinical experience
Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining unit supplies to ensure efficient operation, including stocking nurse servers and cleaning equipment
- Collect data on patients as instructed by the Registered Nurse (RN) and maintain accurate documentation
- Show proficiency in designated psychomotor skills like vital signs measurement and blood glucose monitoring
- Help patients with daily living activities
- Prepare patients for transportation and assist in transporting them
- Measure vital signs for both adult and newborn patients
- Conduct routine newborn screening exams and bathing
- Type and file birth certificates
- Schedule follow-up appointments
- Engage in hourly patient rounds
