Requirements
Must:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Active DoD Secret clearance at time of application
- Software development experience in one or more of the following languages:
- Java
- Rust
- C
- C++
- C#
- Python
- Proficiency in debugging existing software and resolving defects
- Experience working through the SDLC employing Agile methodologies
- Development experience in a Linux environment, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
- Proven experience in developing Linux-based software applications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM discipline with 2+ years of relevant experience (for Software Engineer II)
- Or a Masters degree in a STEM discipline with 0+ years of relevant experience (for Software Engineer II)
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience (for Principal Software Engineer)
- Or a Masters degree in a STEM discipline with 3+ years of relevant experience (for Principal Software Engineer)
- Or a PhD in a STEM discipline with 1+ year of relevant experience (for Principal Software Engineer)
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM discipline with 8+ years of relevant experience (for Senior Principal Software Engineer)
- Or a Masters degree in a STEM discipline with 6+ years of relevant experience (for Senior Principal Software Engineer)
- Or a PhD in a STEM discipline with 4+ years of relevant experience (for Senior Principal Software Engineer)
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and improve complex, secure software systems based on outlined specifications
- Evaluate, test, and confirm software components for adherence to design and performance criteria
- Diagnose, debug, and rectify software issues throughout the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Implement Agile software development techniques in a cooperative engineering setting
- Participate in system and software architecture choices, including hardware/software trade-offs and reuse strategies
- Support Linux-based applications functioning in secure, networked mission environments
