Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in network design and support
- Proficient in Smart Grid technologies, including AMI, SCADA, and Distribution Automation
- Familiarity with Radio Frequency (RF) network infrastructure
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities
- Experience with Network Management Systems and monitoring tools
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Smart Grid RF network infrastructure
- Keep comprehensive documentation of configurations, equipment, and site records
- Validate job plans, including sequencing, time estimates, materials, and equipment requirements
- Install, configure, and provision Smart Grid RF network hardware and software
- Monitor network performance and reliability using management systems
- Update firmware and configurations on network equipment
- Evaluate and test new hardware/software for integration into the network
- Troubleshoot and document network issues efficiently
- Coordinate installations with various departments and contractors
- Provide guidance to linemen and Radio Electricians during assignments
