Desktop Support Technician - IT Support Specialist

- Provide timely and professional technical assistance to staff throughout the organization. - Diagnose hardware, software, and system problems to minimize interruptions to operations and patient care. - Address help desk tickets, phone inquiries, and in-person support requests. - Clearly communicate and update users during the resolution of issues. - Set up, deploy, and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals. - Install and update operating systems, applications, and security patches. - Oversee device inventory and lifecycle, ensuring proper maintenance and timely replacement. - Conduct routine maintenance to ensure optimal system performance. - Assist users with access to systems such as EHR (Epic), email, VPN, and other platforms. - Resolve login issues, password resets, and account access challenges. - Provide support for Microsoft 365 applications and related tools. - Escalate complex issues to ensure swift resolution. - Offer technical support to outreach and mobile teams at community and offsite locations. - Troubleshoot basic networking issues, including Wi-Fi and VPN connectivity. - Support setup and maintenance of network-connected devices. - Collaborate with IT leadership and vendors on network-related matters. - Adhere to organizational IT security policies, HIPAA, and data protection guidelines. - Ensure secure handling of sensitive and confidential information. - Assist with audits and compliance-related activities. - Document issues, solutions, and processes in the help desk system. - Keep technical documentation accurate and up-to-date. - Provide guidance and basic training to users on system usage and best practices. - Perform additional tasks as assigned.
