Requirements
Must:
- Must have IT-I security clearance, DoD Top Secret, DHS EOD, or a current Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI).
- Bachelors degree in computer science or a related engineering discipline.
- At least 1 year of practical experience with SQL programming.
- Minimum 1 year of experience using a major BI platform such as PowerBI, Tableau, or Qlik.
- Proficient in conducting data analysis and interpreting data outcomes.
- Understanding of data warehousing principles, specifically dimensional modeling, with the ability to distinguish between star and snowflake schemas.
- Preferred experience in developing scripts or applications using Python.
- High self-motivation and eagerness to learn new technologies while collaborating in a remote team setting.
- Ability to navigate within the office to access resources and engage with colleagues, which may involve presenting information.
Responsibilities
- Design, create, and implement comprehensive enterprise-level reports, dashboards, and data visualizations utilizing our primary BI platform, like SAP Business Objects or comparable tools.
- Collaborate closely with data engineering teams to utilize dimensional models, incorporating fact and dimension tables, for effective and high-performing reporting.
- Compose complex, optimized SQL queries against our Oracle and Databricks systems to extract and consolidate the necessary data for report generation.
- Work alongside business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements, convert business needs into technical specifications, and ensure reporting solutions provide actionable insights.
- Continuously monitor and enhance the performance of reports and underlying queries to ensure a swift, dependable, and seamless user experience throughout the organization.
- Utilize core AWS services (such as S3, EMR, Redshift, and Glue) to deliver effective cloud-native reporting solutions.
- Oversee the complete lifecycle of reporting assets, including documentation, version control, scheduled updates, and ongoing support and enhancements.
