Requirements
Must:
- 2–3 years of experience in a Help Desk or IT support setting
- Comprehensive knowledge of computer hardware, including installation, maintenance, and repairs
- Demonstrated ability in troubleshooting desktop and peripheral issues
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Workspace, and collaboration tools
- Experience with incident management and ticketing systems
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels
- Strong time management abilities and capacity to work efficiently with minimal oversight
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 help desk support to internal staff via ticketing system, chat, and in-person assistance
- Document incidents, troubleshooting procedures, and resolutions accurately in the incident management system
- Assist with the maintenance, setup, and servicing of IT equipment
- Troubleshoot issues related to computers, phones, headsets, and other peripherals
- Serve as a liaison between the IT department and other departments across the organization
- Carry out additional general IT tasks and projects as assigned
Description
At CarShield, we are actively seeking a knowledgeable Tier 1 IT Technician to join our expanding Tech Support team. As the first point of contact for internal IT support, you will play a crucial role in assisting with a diverse array of IT challenges related to computers, thin clients, phones, Active Directory, and other systems. We value flexibility, reliability, and teamwork, as this position involves both physical and computer-based responsibilities. You will report directly to the Tech Support Manager, contributing to our mission of providing excellent IT support within the organization.
