Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors or masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Over 10 years of demonstrated experience in Software Engineering or Development
- At least 5 years in a leadership role within a software development project
- Strong leadership and organizational capabilities, able to meet deadlines and coordinate with stakeholders
- In-depth understanding of the software development lifecycle, methodologies, and best practices
- Significant experience with C# and the Microsoft .NET framework
- Familiarity with front-end technologies, including Blazor, React, Angular, Vue, Svelte, and Backbone/Marionette
- Proficient in SQL, SQL Server development, data migration, and database performance optimization
- Experience with Azure DevOps, including CI/CD pipeline creation and production deployment
- Knowledge of Azure or AWS cloud environments for application hosting and deployment
- Proven track record of implementing, debugging, testing, and deploying code throughout the development lifecycle
- Familiarity with data engineering and reporting tools, such as Power BI, is advantageous
- Experience in government contracting environments is a bonus
- Demonstrated ability to mentor junior and mid-level developers and disseminate technical knowledge
- Capacity to lead technical initiatives independently with minimal oversight
- Clear communication skills tailored for diverse audiences
Responsibilities
- Act as a highly collaborative technical leader within our Software Development team
- Serve as the chief technical resource, earning the developers trust and guiding architectural decisions
- Ensure the delivery of exceptional software solutions by shaping a unified technical vision
- Collaborate closely with team members to implement a technical strategy in harmony with our business objectives
- Mentor and support team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence
- Actively engage in the development process, contributing to design, coding, testing, and software delivery
- Lead architecture and code reviews to ensure compliance with best practices and business goals
- Provide strategic oversight for adopting new technologies and innovative solutions
- Stay abreast of emerging software technologies and industry trends, incorporating relevant advancements into our practices
- Utilize effective problem-solving skills to evaluate technical solutions and address challenges efficiently
- Communicate technical concepts and strategies effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
