Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in Software Engineering
- At least 3 years of experience in Solution Architecture across various domains
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Data Architecture
- At least 2 years of experience developing solution architectures in AWS
- Minimum of 2 years creating proofs-of-concept
- At least 1 year of experience implementing AI or AI-enabled solutions
- Masters Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technology (preferred)
- Over 10 years of experience in Software Engineering (preferred)
- 5+ years as a Solutions Architect in large/complex organizations (preferred)
- 8+ years architecting, designing, and delivering scalable systems in regulated environments (preferred)
- 3+ years experience collaborating with internal and external business clients (preferred)
- 3+ years with AWS concepts and implementations (preferred)
- Experience in mentoring software engineers or architects (preferred)
- Familiarity with regulated environments (HIPAA, PCI, Privacy, etc.) (preferred)
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization with the necessary technical depth (preferred)
- AWS or equivalent certifications (Solution Architect-Associate/Professional, GCP or Azure) (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Lead the design of solutions architecture for multi-platform and cross-platform systems
- Conduct trade-off and impact analyses for complex technical decisions and resolve technical disputes
- Provide strategic thought leadership in collaboration with delivery and product teams
- Represent and articulate solutions in Architecture Review Boards and other relevant discussions
- Present work products and strategies to product managers and technology leaders across Capital One
- Serve as the primary architectural point of contact for other architecture and delivery teams regarding solutions and systems
- Engage in continuous learning as technology requirements shift
