Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum of 6 years of professional software engineering experience (Internships not included)
- At least 1 year of experience in cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
- 4 years of experience in people management
- Master’s Degree (preferred)
- 9 years of experience in Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js (preferred)
- 3 years of experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure, or similar) (preferred)
- 4 years of experience utilizing open source frameworks (preferred)
- 7 years of people management experience (preferred)
- 2 years of experience with Agile practices (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Oversee a range of diverse technology initiatives and manage a team of developers skilled in distributed microservices and full stack systems to create solutions addressing regulatory requirements
- Foster a passion for keeping up with technology trends, engaging in experimentation and learning new tools, and participating in both internal and external tech communities
- Provide mentorship to fellow engineering professionals and occasionally contribute to coding tasks or code evaluations
- Collaborate effectively with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that offer meaningful experiences, aiding millions of Americans in achieving financial empowerment
- Utilize programming languages such as Java, Python, SQL, Node.js, Go, and Scala, along with various database technologies including Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL, as well as Container Orchestration services like Docker and Kubernetes, and a wide array of AWS tools and services
