Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree
- Minimum 6 years of experience in application development (internships not included)
- A minimum of 2 years working with big data technologies
- At least 1 year of experience in cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
- Minimum 4 years of people management experience
- Preferred: Masters Degree
- 9 years of experience in application development with Python, SQL, Scala, or Java
- 4 years of experience with a public cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
- 5 years experience with distributed data/computing tools (MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL)
- 4 years experience on real-time data and streaming applications
- 4 years of experience implementing NoSQL (Mongo, Cassandra)
- 4 years of data warehousing experience (Redshift or Snowflake)
- 4 years of experience with UNIX/Linux, including basic commands and shell scripting
- 2 years of experience applying Agile engineering practices
- 6 years of people management experience
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions using full-stack development tools and technologies
- Lead a team of developers skilled in machine learning, distributed microservices, and full stack systems
- Utilize programming languages such as Java, Scala, Python, and leverage Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases along with Cloud-based data warehousing solutions like Redshift and Snowflake
- Stay updated on technology trends, engage in experimentation with new tools, participate in technology communities, and mentor fellow engineers
- Partner with digital product managers to create robust cloud-based solutions that deliver meaningful experiences for millions of customers
- Conduct unit tests and collaborate with team members to ensure our code is thoroughly designed, well-written, and optimized for performance
