Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree
- Minimum of 6 years in application development (Internship experience excluded)
- At least 2 years of experience with big data technologies
- Minimum 1 year of cloud computing experience (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
- At least 4 years of managing people
- Masters Degree (preferred)
- Over 9 years of application development experience including Python, SQL, Spark, and ETL tools
- 4+ years of experience with public cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
- 5+ years of experience using distributed data/computing tools (MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, MySQL)
- 4+ years working with real-time data and streaming applications
- 4+ years with NoSQL implementations (Mongo, Cassandra)
- 4+ years in data warehousing (Redshift or Snowflake)
- 4+ years with UNIX/Linux including basic commands and shell scripting
- 4+ years of data modeling for data warehousing
- 2+ years using Agile engineering practices
- 6+ years in people management
- 1+ years leveraging AI-assisted coding tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) for software delivery acceleration
Responsibilities
- Collaborate across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions using data movement tools and technologies
- Lead a team of developers with expertise in data movement, distributed computing, and full stack systems
- Employ programming languages such as Python and SQL along with Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases and cloud data warehousing services like Snowflake and Databricks
- Enhance information systems for end-users and downstream application consumers by applying sound data design principles
- Share enthusiasm for new technologies, experiment with emerging tech, engage in both internal and external tech communities, and mentor fellow engineering professionals
- Work alongside digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans financially
- Conduct unit tests and peer reviews to ensure your code is meticulously crafted, optimally coded, and finely tuned for performance
