Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree
- Minimum of 6 years of professional software engineering experience
- At least 1 year of experience in cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
- Minimum of 4 years in a management role
- Masters Degree (preferred)
- 2 years experience in Machine Learning (preferred)
- 9 years of proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js (preferred)
- 7 years of management experience (preferred)
- 4 years of experience with open source frameworks (preferred)
- 3 years of experience with AWS (preferred)
- 2 years experience in Agile methodologies (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Direct a portfolio of varied technology initiatives and lead a team of developers skilled in distributed microservices and full stack systems to build solutions that satisfy regulatory requirements for the company
- Share enthusiasm for emerging tech, experiment with and learn new technologies, engage in both internal and external tech communities, mentor fellow engineering members, and occasionally contribute to coding or code reviews
- Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that create impactful experiences for millions of Americans striving for financial empowerment
- Utilize programming languages such as Java, Python, SQL, Node, Go, and Scala, along with Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services like Docker and Kubernetes, and various AWS tools and services
