Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors Degree in a related field - Minimum of 6 years of professional software engineering experience (Internships not counted) - At least 1 year of experience in cloud computing environments (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud) - A minimum of 4 years of experience managing teams - Preferred: Masters Degree - Preferred: Over 9 years of experience in programming languages such as Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js - Preferred: 3+ years of experience with big data technologies - Preferred: 3+ years of experience utilizing distributed data/computing tools (e.g., MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive) - Preferred: 3+ years of experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow) - Preferred: 3+ years designing production-ready data pipelines feeding ML models - Preferred: 3+ years building, scaling, and optimizing ML systems - Preferred: 2+ years leading teams in ML solution development - Preferred: 3+ years of experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure) - Preferred: 4+ years of experience in open-source frameworks - Preferred: Over 7 years of experience in people management - Preferred: 2+ years of experience in Agile methodologies

Responsibilities

- Lead a diverse range of technology projects alongside a team of experienced developers specializing in distributed microservices and full-stack systems - Stay current with technological advancements, explore new technologies, engage with tech communities, and occasionally mentor fellow engineers - Partner with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that provide valuable experiences to millions of users - Employ various programming languages including Java, Python, SQL, Node.js, Go, and Scala; utilize Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, as well as container orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes - Leverage an array of AWS tools and services in the development process
