Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree
- Minimum of 6 years of professional software engineering experience (Internship experience does not apply)
- At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
- At least 4 years of experience in people management
- Masters Degree (preferred)
- Over 9 years of experience in at least one of the following: Java, Scala, Python (preferred)
- More than 3 years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service (preferred)
- 4+ years of experience in open source frameworks (preferred)
- 7+ years of experience in people management (preferred)
- 2+ years of experience in Agile practices (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Lead a diverse portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers experienced in distributed microservices and full-stack systems to develop solutions addressing regulatory needs for the organization
- Stay updated with technology trends, engage in experimentation and learning of new technologies, participate in both internal and external tech communities, mentor fellow engineers, and occasionally be hands-on with coding or code evaluation
- Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that enhance experiences for millions of Americans seeking financial empowerment
- Utilize programming languages such as Java, Python, SQL, Node, Go, and Scala; leverage Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases; manage Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes; and employ various AWS tools and services
