Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in a relevant field
- Minimum 4 years of programming experience with Python, Scala, or Java (excluding internship experience)
- At least 3 years of experience in designing and implementing data-intensive solutions using distributed computing
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with industry-recognized ML frameworks such as scikit-learn, PyTorch, Dask, Spark, or TensorFlow
- At least 1 year of experience in productionizing, monitoring, and maintaining machine learning models
- Proven experience in building, scaling, and optimizing machine learning systems preferred
- Background in data gathering and preparation for machine learning models is a plus
- Experience in developing efficient, resilient, and maintainable code preferred
- Understanding of cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is beneficial
- Advanced degrees (Masters or PhD) in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, or a related discipline preferred
- Familiarity with distributed file systems or multi-node database systems is advantageous
- Contributions to open-source machine learning projects or authorship of relevant academic papers are highly regarded
- Experience in constructing data pipelines for machine learning models for three or more years is preferred
- Expertise in designing and optimizing complex data pipelines for machine learning model performance is a plus
Responsibilities
- Design, construct, and deploy machine learning models and components that address real business challenges in collaboration with Product and Data Science teams
- Utilize your insight into machine learning modeling techniques to drive infrastructure decisions, including model selection, data and feature selection, training, hyperparameter tuning, dimensionality considerations, bias/variance, and validation
- Develop and validate machine learning models, writing and testing application code, and automating tests and deployment processes to solve complex problems
- Work collaboratively within a cross-functional Agile team to enhance software that supports cutting-edge big data and machine learning applications
- Manage the retraining, maintenance, and oversight of models in operational environments
- Utilize or develop scalable cloud-based architectures and technologies to optimize machine learning models
- Create efficient data pipelines to supply machine learning models
- Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment practices, including test automation and performance monitoring, ensuring smooth deployment of models and application code
- Ensure all code is maintained securely, models are governed against risks, and uphold best practices in Responsible and Explainable AI
- Utilize programming languages including Python, Scala, or Java
