Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree
- Minimum of 10 years experience in designing and creating data-intensive solutions utilizing distributed computing
- At least 7 years of programming experience in C, C++, Python, or Scala
- A minimum of 4 years experience managing the complete ML development lifecycle using contemporary technology in a business-critical context
- Masters degree (preferred)
- Over 3 years of experience in designing, implementing, and scaling production-ready data pipelines for ML models (preferred)
- More than 3 years experience with Dask, RAPIDS, or in High Performance Computing (preferred)
- Over 3 years experience with the PyData ecosystem (NumPy, Pandas, and Scikit-learn) (preferred)
- Proficient communication skills to convey complex technical ideas to diverse audiences (preferred)
- Demonstrable impact in the ML industry through presentations, publications, blogs, or contributions to open source (preferred)
- Exceptional ability to attract and cultivate high-performing software engineers with an inspiring leadership style (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Develop machine learning models and software components that address complex business challenges within the financial services sector, collaborating closely with Product, Architecture, Engineering, and Data Science teams
- Spearhead the creation and advancement of machine learning models and software to facilitate cutting-edge intelligent systems
- Manage extensive machine learning projects while keeping the customers needs at the forefront
- Utilize cloud-based technologies to deliver efficient machine learning models at scale
- Streamline data pipelines that support machine learning models
- Apply programming skills in languages such as Python, Scala, or C/C++
- Utilize computational technologies like Dask and RAPIDS
- Promote best practices throughout all phases of the engineering and modeling life cycles
- Assist in recruiting, developing, and retaining top engineering talent
