Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing
- At least 6 years of programming experience in C, C++, Python, or Scala
- A minimum of 3 years of experience with the complete machine learning development lifecycle in a business-critical environment
- Masters degree preferred
- Over 3 years of experience in designing, implementing, and scaling production-ready data pipelines for machine learning models
- At least 2 years of experience with Dask, RAPIDS, or high-performance computing
- Over 2 years of experience with the PyData ecosystem (NumPy, Pandas, and Scikit-learn)
- Strong ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences
- Demonstrated impact in the machine learning industry through presentations, publications, blogs, or open-source contributions
- Proven skills in attracting and mentoring high-performing software engineers with an inspiring leadership approach
Responsibilities
- Deliver machine learning models and software components that address complex business challenges in the financial services sector, working collaboratively with Product, Architecture, Engineering, and Data Science teams
- Spearhead the development and enhancement of machine learning models and software to create advanced intelligent systems
- Lead large-scale machine learning initiatives with a customer-centric approach
- Utilize cloud-based architectures and technologies to deploy optimized machine learning models at scale
- Enhance data pipelines to support machine learning model requirements
- Apply programming languages such as Python, Scala, and C/C++
- Utilize computing technologies including Dask and RAPIDS
- Advocate best practices across all aspects of the engineering and modeling lifecycles
- Assist in recruiting, mentoring, and retaining top engineering talent
