Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in a relevant field
- Minimum of 6 years of professional software engineering experience (internship experience not included)
- At least 1 year of experience in cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
- Masters Degree (preferred)
- Over 9 years of hands-on experience with either Node.js, Go, or Python (preferred)
- At least 3 years of experience utilizing AWS (preferred)
- 3+ years of experience focusing on security and performance tuning for internet-scale microservices (preferred)
- 3+ years of on-call support experience for internet-scale microservices (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Direct a range of diverse technology projects, leveraging extensive experience in distributed microservices and full stack systems to craft solutions that cater to regulatory requirements
- Regularly contribute to various code bases to enhance performance, compliance, reliability, and revenue for the organization
- Collaborate on platforms that enable the success of developers, account managers, business associates, and our customers
- Enhance visibility into critical business transactions, guide the establishment of Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and influence error budget management
- Share enthusiasm for staying updated with technology trends, testing new tools, engaging in tech communities, mentoring fellow engineers, and occasionally code or review code
- Work alongside digital product managers to develop robust cloud-based solutions that provide powerful experiences, empowering millions of Americans financially
- Utilize technologies such as NodeJS, Docker, AWS, Kafka, Cassandra, Opensearch, and Postgres to optimize software for optimal business outcomes
