Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in software engineering (Internship experience does not count)
- At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
- Possession of a Masters Degree (preferred)
- Over 9 years of experience in at least one of the following: JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, or Go (preferred)
- 4+ years of experience with AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service (preferred)
- 4+ years of experience in open source frameworks (preferred)
- Experience managing and supporting mission-critical applications and platforms (preferred)
- Familiarity with Kafka and streaming technologies and platforms (preferred)
- Experience with enterprise data technologies and platforms (preferred)
- Proven ability to handle extremely large traffic and data volumes (preferred)
- 2+ years of experience in Agile methodologies (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Oversee a diverse portfolio of technology projects and guide a team of developers focused on distributed microservices and full-stack systems to create solutions that fulfill our regulatory obligations
- Cultivate a passion for staying updated on technology trends, engage in experimenting with and learning new technologies, participate in both internal and external technology communities, and occasionally write or review code
- Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans to gain financial independence
- Employ programming languages such as JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, and Go, along with Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services like Docker and Kubernetes, and a broad array of AWS tools and services
