Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in application development (Internship experience not considered)
- At least 2 years of experience in big data technologies
- At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
- Masters Degree (preferred)
- 9+ years of experience in application development including Python, SQL, Scala, or Java (preferred)
- 4+ years of experience with a public cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud) (preferred)
- 5+ years of experience with distributed data/computing tools (MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL) (preferred)
- 4+ years of experience working on real-time data and streaming applications (preferred)
- 4+ years of experience with NoSQL implementation (Mongo, Cassandra) (preferred)
- 4+ years of data warehousing experience (Redshift or Snowflake) (preferred)
- 4+ years of experience with UNIX/Linux including basic commands and shell scripting (preferred)
- 2+ years of experience with Agile engineering practices (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support full-stack technical solutions
- Lead a team of developers experienced in machine learning, distributed microservices, and full stack systems
- Employ programming languages such as Java, Scala, Python, and manage Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases along with cloud-based data warehousing services like Redshift and Snowflake
- Share enthusiasm for technology trends, engage with new technologies, participate in technology communities, and mentor fellow engineers
- Work alongside digital product managers to deliver robust cloud solutions that empower millions of Americans financially
- Conduct unit testing and collaborate with peers to ensure your code is well-designed, effectively coded, and finely tuned for optimal performance
