Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in developing AI and ML algorithms, or a Masters degree with at least 4 years of experience
- At least 6 years of coding experience in Python, Go, Scala, or Java
- Preferred experience deploying and managing scalable AI solutions on cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
- Proven experience in designing, creating, integrating, and supporting complex AI systems
- Ability to lead and mentor engineering teams and influence stakeholders
- Experience in AI and ML algorithm development using Python, C++, C#, Java, or Golang
- Knowledge in optimizing training and inference processes for improved performance and cost-effectiveness
- Strong communication skills capable of conveying complex AI concepts to diverse audiences
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, researchers, technical program managers, and product managers to create AI-driven products that transform our operations and customer interactions
- Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain AI software components including foundation model training and large language model inference
- Utilize a range of Open Source and SaaS AI technologies such as AWS Ultraclusters, Huggingface, VectorDBs, and PyTorch
- Create and apply innovative LLM optimization techniques to enhance scalability, cost-effectiveness, latency, and throughput in large-scale production AI systems
- Contribute to the technical direction and future roadmap for foundational AI systems at Capital One
