Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines, with at least 6 years of experience in developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies; or a Masters degree in the same fields with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
- Minimum of 6 years of programming experience using Python, Go, Scala, or Java.
- 7 years of experience in deploying scalable and responsible AI solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure (preferred).
- Experience in designing, developing, integrating, delivering, and maintaining complex AI systems.
- Proven capability to lead and mentor technical teams and influence cross-functional collaborators.
- Familiarity with developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies such as LLM Inference and Similarity Search.
- Expertise in employing cutting-edge techniques for optimizing software for training and inference to improve utilization and performance.
- Keen interest in staying updated on AI research and proficiently applying novel techniques in production environments.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities to convey complex AI concepts effectively to peers.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, research scientists, technical program managers, and product managers to create AI-driven products that transform how our associates operate and enhance customer interactions with Capital One.
- Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain AI software modules, including model training, large language model inference, similarity search, model evaluation, and governance.
- Utilize a range of Open Source and SaaS AI technologies such as AWS Ultraclusters, Huggingface, VectorDBs, and PyTorch.
- Innovate and apply state-of-the-art optimization techniques to enhance scalability, cost efficiency, latency, and throughput of large-scale production AI systems.
- Contribute to Capital Ones technical vision and long-term planning for foundational AI systems.
