Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in a relevant field
- Minimum 6 years of experience in software engineering (Internship experience not included)
- At least 1 year of experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
- Proven ability to communicate effectively and foster relationships with various stakeholders
- Mastery of facilitation and influencing abilities across multiple teams and divisions
- Experience with Agentic AI and other emerging technologies
- Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and rapidly shift focus
- Track record of leading technology, architecture, and software engineering initiatives at an enterprise level
- Self-driven with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results
- Detail-oriented with a deep passion for architecture, software engineering, network engineering, data engineering, and customer experience
- Intellectual curiosity and dedication to continuously gather new skills in business, technology, and architecture
- Preferred: 9+ years of experience with programming languages (JavaScript, TypeScript, SQL, Python)
- Preferred: 4+ years of experience with cloud services and open-source frameworks
- Preferred: 2+ years of Agile practice experience
- Preferred: 5+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect
- Preferred: 8+ years in creating scalable and decoupled systems in regulated tech environments
- Preferred: AWS or equivalent certifications (Cloud Practitioner, Solution Architect-Associate, Google Cloud Platform or Azure)
Responsibilities
- Lead the design of solutions architecture for multi-platform applications
- Conduct trade-off assessments and impact analysis on complex technical decisions, mediating conflicts when necessary
- Collaborate with delivery and product partners to provide strategic thought leadership
- Develop architectural guidelines and documentation for the integration of new technologies, focusing on multi-agentic AI
- Create and maintain a 3+ year Domain Destination Architecture (DDA) for various business capabilities
- Represent architectural solutions in Architecture Review Boards as well as in discussions regarding products, platforms, and architecture
- Present strategies and deliverables to product managers and technology leadership throughout Capital One
- Act as a primary architectural contact for interfacing with other architecture and delivery teams regarding systems and solutions
- Commit to continuous learning as technology landscapes evolve
