Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in application development (internship experience not applicable)
- At least 2 years of expertise in big data technologies
- Minimum 1 year of experience in cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
- A minimum of 4 years managing people
- Preferred: Masters Degree
- 9 years in application development including Python, SQL, Scala, or Java
- 4 years experience with public cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
- 5 years utilizing distributed data/computing tools (MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL)
- 4 years working with real-time data and streaming applications
- 4 years of implementing NoSQL solutions (Mongo, Cassandra)
- 4 years of experience in data warehousing (Redshift or Snowflake)
- 4 years of experience with UNIX/Linux, including basic commands and shell scripting
- 2 years applying Agile engineering practices
- 6 years in people management
Responsibilities
- Partner with Agile teams to design, create, test, implement, and maintain technical solutions across full stack development tools and technologies
- Guide a team of developers skilled in machine learning, distributed microservices, and full stack systems
- Employ programming languages such as Java, Scala, Python, along with open source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, and utilize cloud-based data warehousing services like Redshift and Snowflake
- Share enthusiasm for keeping abreast of technology trends, exploring and learning about new tools, participating in tech communities, and mentoring fellow engineers
- Work closely with digital product managers to deliver impactful cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans towards financial independence
- Conduct unit testing and code reviews with team members to ensure our code is well-designed, optimally coded, and finely tuned for performance
