Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree
- Minimum 3 years of experience in application development (Internship experience does not apply)
- At least 1 year of experience with big data technologies
- 5+ years of application development experience including Python, SQL, Scala, or Java (preferred)
- 2+ years of experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud) (preferred)
- 3+ years of experience with distributed data/computing tools (MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL) (preferred)
- 2+ years of experience in developing real-time data and streaming applications (preferred)
- 2+ years of NoSQL implementation experience (Mongo, Cassandra) (preferred)
- 2+ years of data warehousing experience (Redshift or Snowflake) (preferred)
- 3+ years of experience with UNIX/Linux including basic commands and shell scripting (preferred)
- 2+ years of experience with Agile engineering practices (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Agile teams to conceptualize, create, test, implement, and maintain technical solutions using full-stack development tools and technologies
- Partner with a team of developers knowledgeable in machine learning, distributed microservices, and full-stack systems
- Utilize programming languages such as Java, Scala, Python, and Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases alongside cloud data warehousing services like Redshift and Snowflake
- Stay updated with technology trends, explore and learn new technologies, engage in internal and external tech communities, and mentor fellow engineers
- Work alongside digital product managers to deliver effective cloud solutions that empower millions of Americans toward financial stability
- Execute unit tests and participate in code reviews with team members to ensure code is meticulously designed, cleanly written, and optimized for performance
